More details of the campaign against “eco sins”. A lay-led campaign, Journey to 2030, is encouraging Catholics to go to Confession, with help from its “Ecological examination of conscience cards”. The Catholic graphic novel revival continues, with the publication of a new book about Venerable Patrick Peyton. The Tale of Patrick Peyton, created by Voyage Comics for Holy Cross Family Ministries, tells the story of the priest who became a great apostle for the rosary, and used the new media of his day to bring Catholics closer to Mary. Among the stars he collaborated with were Bing Crosby and Loretta Young. Fr Peyton is associated with the saying “The family that prays together stays together”. Two miracles have been claimed – if both are approved, he will be named a saint.
