Cardinal Vincent Nichols was joined by London Mayor Sadiq Khan and Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis at an interfaith ‘iftar’ at Archbishop’s House in Westminster on Tuesday evening.

The iftar - an evening meal where Muslims break their daily fast after sunset during Ramadan - was organised by the cardinal in partnership with the Naz Legacy Foundation.

Speaking to young people of various faiths, the cardinal, mayor and chief rabbi mentioned the need for greater religious literacy in British society to counter prejudice and extremism.
