An unborn baby has died after a pregnant woman was attacked by a man in a supermarket car park.

The 34-year-old woman was beaten to the ground in a Co-op car park in Bletchley, Buckinghamshire, after a row with the man about queue jumping, who followed her out of the store into the car park.

The suspect had been racially abusing the woman in the supermarket before he proceeded to kick and stamp on her outside. Witnesses say that the woman was wearing a headscarf and looked Middle Eastern.

During the attack, a 40-year-old man, understood to be the woman's partner, tried to intervene but he was left with severe head injuries after the suspect hit him with a bottle and a bag of ice.
