The week ahead: Pope in Mauritius, Glastonbury pilgrims, St Theresa relics

Pope Francis will meet government leaders and the bishops of Madagascar tomorrow before visiting the tomb of Blessed Victoire Rasoamanarivo. On Sunday he will visit the Akamasoa Community of Good Friends. On Monday he flies to Mauritius where he will visit the Shrine of Blessed Jacques-Désiré Laval before meeting the president and prime minister.

The Latin Mass Society has its annual pilgrimage to Glastonbury on Saturday. The Rupert Bevan Singers will provide the music at a High Mass at 11.30 am. After lunch there will be rosary in the abbey grounds, then Exposition and Confessions.

The relics of St Thérèse of Lisieux continue their three-week tour of Scotland. Tomorrow they will be in Dundee for a Solemn Mass at 10am, before moving to St Mary’s Cathedral, Edinburgh, in the evening. There will be a Solemn Mass on Sunday and a children’s Mass on Monday, before the relics go to Aberdeen until next Thursday, when they move to Argyll and the Isles.
