Fr Jacques Philippe comes to London next week, to give a weekend retreat at Holy Apostles Church, Pimlico. Fr Philippe, whose books have sold a million copies, will preach over the weekend of September 7-8 on “Living in God’s Presence”. It’s £25, but free for priests and religious. Book here.

Pope Francis will visit Mozambique, Madagascar and Mauritius from September 4-10. Among other activities, in Antananarivo he will pray at the tomb of Blessed Victoire Rasoamanarivo, a married woman who cared for the poor.

The regular Day with Mary event will take place at St John’s Cathedral, Portsmouth on Saturday September 7. Bishop Philip Egan (left) will preach at the 9.45am Mass which starts the event. The Day finishes at 5.15pm. It includes Adoration, the rosary, enrolment into the scapular and the miraculous medal, and sermons on Our Lady by Fr
Serafino Lanzetta and Fr Pio Idowu.
