With less than twenty days to go before the United States presidential election, the cardinal archbishop of Washington, DC, has acknowledged the difficulties Catholics face in deciding how to vote – but reiterates that choose they must.

Speaking to Crux while in Rome for this month’s Synod of Bishops on Synodality, Cardinal Wilton Gregory of Washington stressed the importance of having a broad understanding of key national challenges and urged Catholics not to be single-issue voters on 5 November.
