This week marks a huge moment in the 130-year history of the Catholic Herald as we launch the US edition of the magazine.

To coincide with the launch, our website has also undergone a redesign, bringing a fresh look and more content to our online platform. The website will also now be subject to a paywall – a move that will allow us to continue to bring you Catholic journalism of the highest quality.

Throughout our history, the Herald has broken some of the most important Catholic stories, including the death of Pope Pius XII in 1958 – an exclusive we achieved by gambling that the pontiff would die immediately after we went to press. (Thankfully for our reputation, he did).
