Cardinal issues plea for peace to Buddhists
Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran, head of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue, has issued a message for the Buddhist celebration of Vesakh. He said Christ and Buddha were “promoters of non-violence”, urging Catholics and Buddhists to follow their example.

Congolese priest Fr Richard Muembo has said that smartphones technology which uses the mineral coltan is built on the “blood of Congolese people”.
