BALTIMORE – The American Church will fight the mass deportation of migrants promised by newly-elected President Donald Trump, a bishop has said.
Bishop Mark Seitz of El Paso, chairman of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Committee on Migration said the bishops will “raise voice loudly” if threats are followed through. He told Crux, however, that the fear among undocumented immigrants is already heightened.
“Their level of fear and insecurity has been raised a great deal even before new policies come into play,” Bishop Seitz said.
