The Most Rev Richard Moth, Archbishop of Westminster, celebrated First Vespers of the feast of St Philip Neri at the Brompton Oratory on Monday, May 25, 2026. Vespers was followed by solemn benediction and the triduo devotions venerating a relic of the saint who founded the Congregation of the Oratory in 16th-century Rome.

Archbishop Moth was shown the Oratory House and its garden before being solemnly received at the door of the church by the Fathers of the London Congregation of the Oratory. It was his first official visit to the London church since his installation as the 12th Archbishop of Westminster. Cardinal Nichols, his immediate predecessor, offered the Solemn High Mass the following day on the feast of St Philip.
