Lord, you called St Columban to live the monastic life and to preach the Gospel with zeal. May his prayers and example help us to seek you above all things and to work with all our hearts for the spread of the faith. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
