At the end of the Vatican’s first-ever World Children’s Day, the famed Italian actor and comedian Roberto Benigni delivered an uplifting speech full of witticisms, eccentricities and left-field observations that even a seasoned rhetorician such as Pope Francis would struggle to match. He also offered to dance a tango for the Argentine pontiff, as well as to run for the papacy together with Francis himself.
