The Faith Movement is currently hosting a series of talks on the Church. On Tuesday June 4 Christina Read will speak on “Healing as Christ”. The final talk in the series is Mgr Keith Newton on “Holy as Christ”, on Tuesday June 18. The talks, which are followed by wine and cheese and a Q&A, take place at 7pm in the basement hall of Warwick Street Church, London.

Pope Francis arrives in Romania today (Friday May 31), 20 years after Pope St John Paul II made the first papal visit. Francis’s three-day trip will take in the Marian Shrine of Şumuleu Ciuc (right). Four per cent of Romanians are Catholic.

On Sunday, June 2, San Francisco archdiocese is organising a seminar aimed at prospective housebuyers. A young married couple, who were looking for a house while expecting their first child, will explain how they navigated the city’s “complex below-market-rate housing programme”. This free event begins at 10.45am at Fromm Hall, behind St Ignatius Church, San Francisco.
