The Mercy Bus is returning to the streets of Scotland. The bus, which offers Confession and spiritual guidance, has received 400 passengers in its trips over the last two years. The latest trip, organised by the Friends of Divine Mercy Scotland, makes the final trip of its tour tomorrow, Saturday August 3, at 3 pm on Paisley High Street. Fr Joe Burke will celebrate Mass at 2pm.

The Knights of Columbus (right) meet at the Minneapolis Convention Center next week for their Supreme Convention. The meeting, from August 5 to August 8, includes the Supreme Knight’s report and round-the-clock Adoration.

An event in Walsingham next weekend – August 9-11 – ­ will feature “Jam, cakes, history, heritage and evangelisation”. Led by the author, and Catholic Herald contributor, Joanna Bogle, it will teach and celebrate ways to mark the “round of the Church’s seasons” with “recipes, songs, stories and activities”.
