The Museum of St John Henry Newman, at the Oratory of St Philip Neri in Birmingham, is now open. For the first time, the new saint’s possessions, manuscripts and liturgical objects are available for general viewing, including pages from the manuscripts of the Apologia and The Dream of Gerontius. Entry is free, but donations are welcome.

The month of November is dedicated to the Holy Souls in Purgatory. The Church commemorates all the faithful souls who are in Purgatory. Masses, prayers and sacrifices are offered for them, especially on All Souls, Nov­ember 2.

The Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham will hold a Solemn Votive Mass of St John Henry Newman to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the publication of Anglicanorum coetibus. Cardinal Vincent Nichols of Westminster will preach at the Mass, at the Church of the Most Precious Blood, Borough, London, at noon on Saturday November 9.
