The Catholic Herald is delighted to announce the launch of The David Hahn Show, a new weekly video podcast bringing commentary and analysis on the Catholic Church and Catholic life around the world.

Hosted by David Hahn, a contributor to The Catholic Herald, the show brings viewers weekly coverage of developments across the Catholic world as well as interviews with leading Catholic figures. The first episode covers the illicit episcopal consecrations of the Transalpine Redemptorists, Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone's move to the Apostolic Signatura, a review of JD Vance's new book Communion and a report from the WeBelieve festival in England.

Edward Barrett-Shortt, Editor-in-Chief of The Catholic Herald, said: "The David Hahn Show is a natural next step for The Catholic Herald, as we look for new ways to bring readers closer to what is happening in the Church. David brings a deeply faithful eye to the news, and viewers can expect the same standard of reporting and analysis they find in our pages, now on video."

Hahn said he wanted the show to bring viewers closer to the stories shaping the Church each week.

"There is so much happening in the Church right now, and so much of it gets missed or misunderstood," he said. "My aim with this show is to walk viewers through the week's biggest stories with the context and seriousness they deserve."

He added that viewers can expect "a weekly rundown of the biggest stories in the Church, along with commentary, book reviews and interviews with influential Catholics."

The launch forms part of The Catholic Herald's ongoing resurgence under the GEM ownership group. Founded in 1888, The Catholic Herald continues to expand its digital, print and editorial offering for readers seeking faithful Catholic reporting, serious analysis and cultural commentary.

The David Hahn Show is available on all social media and podcast platforms, with new episodes released weekly. Watch episode one here.
