Children from Holy Rosary Primary School in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, had obviously taken note of Scripture as they made a “joyful noise unto the Lord”, writes Józef Łopuszyński. The singing was full of energy and a privilege to listen to. During their carol service, the school choir (pictured here singing outside the church before the event) sang “Once in Royal David’s City” a capella, and the staff choir sang Panis Angelicus in two-part harmony accompanied by just a solo flute. Both were very prayerfully performed. Priest-in-charge Fr Dawid Piskorz said: “It is wonderful that we can gather together as a school community in our church to sing carols for the glory of God. “This is a wonderful way to prepare for Christmas.”
