The annual Croagh Patrick pilgrimage in Ireland was cancelled on Sunday due to dangerous weather conditions. Visibility on the mountain was less than 10 feet and gales blew away the temporary extension to the oratory at the summit. Despite the “Reek Sunday” climb being cancelled for the first time ever, hundreds climbed the mountain, and rescue teams had to help some people, including a three-year-old, suffering minor injuries and hypothermia.
