Today the Vatican released one of its most polarising documents in decades. The text, known as the relatio post disceptationem, calls for a new approach on such hot button issues as homosexuality and cohabitation. Veteran Vatican-watcher John Thavis has described the document as a "pastoral earthquake", while others have used words such as "stunning" and "triumph" to describe it. But others see the document as an abrupt break with 2,000 years of Church teaching. Lay group Voice of the Family have described the synod’s mid-term report as "one of the worst official documents drafted in Church history". What do you think?
