More than six months after being forced from their homes, Christians in Lebanon are praying this year’s olive harvest could pave the way for their return, said their parish priest.

The residents of Alma Al-Chaab, a village in southern Lebanon, hope the coming harvest could mark the end of their exile and struggles to survive.

Maronite Chorbishop Maroun Ghafari, parish priest of Alma Al-Chaab, told Catholic charity Aid to the Church in Need (ACN): “Without divine providence, the displaced families would have died of hunger.”
