A Catholic priest has claimed he is being spied on by the Filipino government after he discovered he was being recorded by police during Sunday Mass. Fr Robert Reyes, a prominent critic of Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, said that three uniformed policemen from Quezon City’s Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS) were taking photos and videos of him and his congregation at San Isidro Labrador Parish, Manila. Fr Reyes said that the officials had acted without his prior consent and he added that this was the first time he had known of them carrying out such surveillance.
