Church cancels events in Egypt amid threats
Christians in Egypt have been asked to cancel all events and activities taking place outside churches because of fears of an attack this summer. Fr Rafik Greish, a spokesman for the Catholic Church, said the request came from the interior ministry.
Papal visit to India likely early next year
Pope Francis could visit India “early next year, if not earlier”, according to Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas, secretary general of the country’s bishops’ conference.
