Foreign Office ‘is to name new ambassador’
The foreign office is to appoint Sally Axworthy as Britain’s new ambassador to the Holy See, replacing Nigel Baker, according to a report in The Tablet. Ms Axworthy has jointly led the Foreign Office’s North Africa department since 2013.
‘Most Britons visit a church each year’
More than half of Britons have visited a church in the past year despite falling attendance, according to a survey commissioned by the National Churches Trust.
