Huge mosaic unveiled at Knock shrine
A spectacular mosaic has been unveiled at Ireland’s Knock shrine depicting the apparitions seen there by 15 villagers in 1879. The mosaic, by PJ Lynch, is 46 feet high and 46 feet wide, and is made up of more than 1.5 million pieces.
Police reject appeals over Calais ‘Jungle’
French police began to dismantle the “Jungle” migrant camp in Calais this week. The bishops’ agency CSAN had called for the demolition to be delayed.
