Pope to wash refugees’ feet on Holy Thursday
Pope Francis is to wash the feet of migrants and refugees on Holy Thursday, according to Ansa news agency. It reported that he would be visiting a centre for migrants in Rome. In previous years Francis has visited a prison, a care home and a juvenile detention centre.
Assisted suicide deaths soar in Switzerland
Deaths by assisted suicide in Switzerland have doubled in the last five years, rising from 416 cases in 2011 to 1,004 last year, according to figures from clinics.
