Holy See and Benin sign landmark accord
The Holy See and the West African state of Benin have signed a legal accord on relations between the two. It gives guarantees to the Church to carry out its mission in Benin; in particular, “it recognises the juridical status of the Catholic Church and its institutions”.
Christian evangelising is banned in Nepal
A new law in Nepal will prohibit Christians from evangelising. Christians, a tiny minority in the largely Hindu country, may not “jeopardise others’ religion.”
