Following the end of his summer break, Pope Leo XIV received the new British Ambassador to the Holy See, Tammy Sandhu MBE, at the Apostolic Palace. The Ambassador presented her credentials to the Pontiff, formally marking the beginning of her diplomatic mission in Rome.
Sandhu succeeds Chris Trott CVO and brings more than two decades of diplomatic experience to the post. Her appointment comes amid warm relations between the Holy See and the United Kingdom, strengthened by the King and Queen’s state visit to the Vatican last year.
