Bishop John Sherrington is the Lead Bishop for Life Issues for the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales, placing him at the front line when it comes to issues such as assisted suicide and abortion that are increasingly being pushed to the fore in British politics.
As the United Kingdom’s Parliament fast approaches the final vote on a law for legalising “assisted dying” – which critics point out will allow doctors to help patients commit suicide – Sherrington is calling on the British people to contact their representatives in Parliament to oppose the Bill.
