A generous donation has enabled a pioneering fertility programme to help even more couples desperate to start families. The Leamington-based Life FertilityCare Programme was able to buy a state-of-the-art ultrasound scanner thanks to a £7,000 donation from Stratford-upon-Avon members of the charity. Staff celebrated the purchase at the clinic on March 3 to thank Stratford Life group’s Stewart Bell, who made the donation in memory of his late wife, Barbara. Among those present were Life national chairman Professor Jack Scarisbrick and trustee Nuala Scarisbrick. The Life FertilityCare Programme has enabled over 100 couples to have the families they thought were impossible, with success rates equal to that of IVF. It provides counselling, support, and natural family planning services using Natural Procreative Technology which helps couples understand and improve their fertility. Dr Anne Carus, FertilityCare Physician, said: “I am absolutely delighted that due to the generosity of Stratford-upon-Avon Life we now have this ultrasound scanner. It will greatly assist in the diagnosis and monitoring of our patients with problems with fertility and those looking for help with natural conception.”
