President Emmanuel Macron has changed his plans and will now attend Leo XIV’s final Mass in France later today, after having previously declared he would skip all religious ceremonies of the voyage.
In news issued late on Sunday night from the Elysée Palace, journalists were informed that Macron has decided to stay with Leo for the majority of his final day in France. The French president had previously declared he would not participate in any of the Pope’s Masses or religious ceremonies, confining his role to the more political and state elements of the voyage.
