An overflow crowd attended Mass yesterday at the hospital chapel in San Salvador where Archbishop Oscar Romero was assassinated 33 years ago to the day. Ugandan Archbishop Cyprian Lwanga of Kampala has suspended a priest who wrote an open letter saying "it is an open secret that many Catholic priests and some bishops, in Uganda and elsewhere, no longer live celibate chastity" (full text of letter).
