The sisters of the Benedictines of Mary, Queen of Apostles, have for the first time spoken publicly about discovering the "incorrupt" remains on their foundress, when her body was exhumed in April this year, four years after her death.

In an interview with EWTN News, Mother Abbess Cecilia Snell and prioress Sister Scholastica Radel, both of whom were present when the remains were exhumed, spoke of their joy on discovering that Sister Wilhelmina Lancaster’s body remained intact inside her coffin.

Mother Abbess Cecilia Snell described how when she first peered inside the cracked coffin lid and saw a human foot inside a black sock where one would expect to find only bone and dust, she didn’t say anything.
