A video has been released documenting an American abortion doctor discussing the sale of body parts of aborted unborn babies. In an investigation by the Center for Medical Progress, Dr Deborah Nucatola of Planned Parenthood, was filmed discussing over lunch the sale of the hearts, lungs, livers and muscles of aborted babies. Actors posing as representatives from a human biologics company filmed the video in July last year during a lunch meeting in California. Dr Nucatola is recorded discussing the price of different parts of the embryo, stating: “I would say it’s probably around $30 to $100, depending on the facility and what’s involved.” She continues: "I’d say a lot of people want liver. And for that reason, most providers will do this case under ultrasound guidance, so they’ll know where they’re putting their forceps.” She later says: “We’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m gonna basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact And with the calvarium, in general, some people will actually try to change the presentation so that it’s not vertex. “So if you do it starting from the breech presentation, there’s dilation that happens as the case goes on, and often, the last step, you can evacuate an intact calvarium at the end.” The Center for Medical Progress said the video was the first part of a series exploring the "illegal trafficking of aborted foetal parts" by Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood insisted in a statement that it helped "patients who want to donate tissue for scientific research" but did not financially benefit from the practice.
