Non-anglican religious leaders should be given places in the House of Lords and schools should hold an “inclusive ‘time for reflection’” rather than a compulsory Christian assembly, according to a report that says Christianity should not have such a central a role in British public life. In its report, Living with Difference, the Commission on Religion and Belief in Public Life also said the coronation of the next monarch should be more “pluralistic” than Christian.
