The Catholic Herald has been shortlisted for two awards at this year's Professional Publishers Association (PPA) awards, which will be held in London on June 28. Selected for the Editor of the Year and Writer of the Year categories, it is the first time Herald has been nominated at the mainstream PPA awards, which are open to all UK media companies, since becoming a magazine in 2014 after 126 years as a newspaper. The Herald won a best writing award at the 2022 PPA independent publisher awards for smaller publishers.
