Pope Leo XIV’s visit to France will be the main event to watch this week, with the Pope travelling to Paris, Lourdes and Metz from September 25 to 28.

The trip will include visits to the Élysée Palace, Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, UNESCO headquarters and the shrine of Lourdes. Leo will take four flights during the journey before returning to Rome.

In Paris, the Pope will celebrate Mass outdoors with a crowd of 600,000 people. The bishops of France have requested a new overflow area for the event, which Archbishop Laurent Ulrich described as a “historic celebration”.
