The bishops of Poland and Hungary have offered prayers for the 12 Polish pilgrims who died while returning from Medjugorje after the bus they were travelling on crashed. A further 10 pilgrims were seriously wounded in the incident, which occurred overnight from August 15 and 16.
The president of the Polish Bishops' Conference, Archbishop Tadeusz Wojda, said he learned of the incident with “great pain” and that he was praying for eternal life for the tragically deceased victims of the accident and for recovery for the injured.
