Archbishop Eamon Martin of Armagh has visited the woman who lost five family members in a car accident on Sunday. Louise McGrotty lost her husband Sean, her two sons Mark and Evan, her mother Ruth Daniels and her 14-year-old sister Jodie Lee Daniels when they drowned at Buncrana, County Donegal. The five people were killed when their car slid off the pier and into the sea. Archbishop Eamon Martin, who is Catholic Primate of All-Ireland, described it as an "enormous tragedy". Archbishop Martin said: "At a time like this I realise that any words of mine are totally inadequate." The archbishop travelled back to Derry, his home city on Wednesday, to pay his respects to Mrs McGrotty on the eve of her family's joint funeral. The only survivor of the accident was her four-month-old baby girl, Rionaghac-Ann, who was rescued by a passer-by who swam out to help the family.
