Archbishop John Sherrington of Liverpool and Bishop Bosco MacDonald of Clifton have released a joint statement to raise awareness of the “unfillable void” left following the loss of a baby. The statement comes ahead of Baby Loss Awareness Week, which takes place from October 9 to 15.

The bishops included prayers for those suffering from the loss of a baby, which they encouraged the use of to “honour the life of these children and care for their souls after death, and to support the parents and their relatives”.
