Pope Francis will visit a stone chapel rebuilt by St Francis of Assisi next month to mark the 800th anniversary of the “Pardon of Assisi” (also called the Portiuncula Indulgence). The chapel is inside Assisi’s Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli.
