Pope Leo XIV has encouraged those working to find ways the technology can be used to contribute to peace and be developed with the good of others in mind. The Holy Father delivered his message to the first edition of AI4Peace, an international symposium centred on the opportunities and challenges AI brings to the prevention and resolution of conflicts as well as protection of human rights.
“His Holiness Pope Leo XIV sends cordial good wishes to all gathered for the AI4Peace, Global Biennial Symposium and International Conference,” Fr Andrea Ciucci, Chancellor of the Pontifical Academy for Life, said at the event. He stated that the Holy Father hoped the discussions held would contribute to a “renewed and widespread commitment to placing technological innovation at the service of the common good.”
