The doxxed “holdout juror” in the Lindsay Clancy case is reportedly a devout Catholic immigrant from Haiti, and a fundraiser in support of him has garnered more than US$250,000.
The juror, whose identity was uncovered against his wishes, refused to join the other 11 jurors in declaring Clancy not guilty by reason of lack of criminal responsibility, resulting in the trial being declared a mistrial on September 4.
In the days after the mistrial, some of the other jurors appeared on national and local media and criticised him for the resulting mistrial. Juror Paula Devlin described the holdout juror as “arrogant” and told Boston’s NBC10 that “he really did not take anything that anybody said”. Appearing on CBS Mornings, Devlin revealed to host Gayle King that the holdout juror was a Black man.
